GIANT Food Under Construction at Dominion Valley
April 3, 2006 Washington, DC—Toll Brothers Realty Trust and Madison Retail Group are pleased to announce that Giant Food at Dominion Valley Market Square has commenced construction of a state-of-the-art supermarket. At 73,000 square feet, the largest in this market, Giant will feature the latest in food offerings and a full-service pharmacy. Opening is expected in the Fall of 2006.
Toll Brothers, the nation’s leading luxury home builder, is developing Dominion Valley Country Club, a premier mixed-use community that incorporates residential, retail, office, and other community-serving uses. Located in Prince William County, Virginia, Dominion Valley Country Club will be home to over 3,600 families once complete.
“Dominion Valley Country Club is an award winning luxury residential community, and the Giant Food Store will incorporate an upscale design and a product mix that will meet the expectations of this sophisticated market. The retail portion of the project was designed to be reminiscent of ‘the traditional Virginia countryside’ and works well with the mix of retailers and other significant features, including a church site, a child care facility, and a visitor center, to name a few,” said James M. Steuterman, Senior Vice President of Toll Brothers Realty Trust. Joining Giant Food will be retailers that include The Daily Grind Coffee shop, Kirkpatrick’s Irish Restaurant, Asian Garden, Z Pizza, Cingular Wireless, and SunTrust Bank, as well as a dry cleaners, jewelry store, and UPS Store, among others.
“Dominion Valley Market Square, the 175,000-square-foot center located at the entrance of this premier community, will provide residents with new shopping and dining opportunities. The Giant supermarket is perhaps the most critical element in this mix,” stated Jim Farrell, Principal, Madison Retail Group “Toll Brothers’ attention to very high-quality design, not only for the shopping center but the community as a whole, has enabled us to secure terrific new shopping, dining, and service retailers who are new to the region,” added Farrell.
Dominion Valley Market Square is located just off of Route 15, one mile from Interstate 66 in Haymarket, VA.
